01 / LESS SOFTWARE. MORE CYCLING.
Heavy on possibility. Light on your computer.
Written in Rust, VeloPopuli is built to keep indoor cycling lightweight. More of your computer’s resources for the ride, with room for the app to grow.
A focus on efficient performance, from the core up.
THE EXPERIENCELightweight by design.
Built for Windows, macOS and Linux.
02 / BRING THE OUTSIDE IN
Real roads. Fresh motivation.
A favourite local loop. A climb you’ve always wanted to try. Your next ride is already out there.
.GPX → YOUR WORLD
01 / EXPLORE
Your GPX. A whole new world.
Turn real-world routes into 3D rides, built from real terrain data and OpenStreetMap. Follow roads through villages, over rivers and bridges, and into tunnels, with local real-time weather along the way.
Control your smart trainer in ERG or Gradient mode over Bluetooth FTMS, Tacx FE-C or ANT+ FE-C. Connect standard power, heart-rate, speed and cadence sensors to bring your training together.
Chase your own ghost or someone else’s. Find your rhythm with pace riders, take on auto-detected timed climbs and earn XP, levels and 23 badges. Track what matters with power curves, training load and FTP estimates.
VeloPopuli supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Trainer control uses Bluetooth FTMS, Tacx FE-C and ANT+ FE-C, alongside standard power, heart-rate, speed and cadence sensors.
Support for a protocol does not guarantee every trainer, sensor or operating-system combination. Check the project’s compatibility notes and release requirements before downloading.
No subscription to start. No upgrade to keep riding. The code is open under the MIT licence, ready for anyone to inspect, improve or build on.

04 / A COMMUNITY EFFORT
Help build the people’s ride.
Free forever. Stronger together.
VeloPopuli needs a community to keep moving forward.
We need riders and contributors to test real setups, share honest feedback and help shape what comes next. Every bug report, idea and improvement helps build a better indoor ride for everyone.
Try your trainer and sensors. Ride your routes. Tell us what works, what breaks and what could feel better.
02 / BUILD & IMPROVE
Make your next contribution.
Work on Rust, React, TypeScript or Three.js. Fix a bug, improve performance or help bring a useful feature to life.
03 / HELP OTHERS GET RIDING
Share what you know.
Improve setup guides, explain tricky steps and suggest changes that make VeloPopuli easier for everyone to use.
You don’t need to be a developer. You just need to care about making indoor cycling better.
